The
Indigesound Music Institute (IMI) is a project focused on teaching
the nations to worship the Lord within their own unique expressions
and cultures. IMI seeks to equip the body across the world with the
tools to write worship and praise music that is unique to their
culture and language. This will be done through three methods: Music
and Worship Education Seminars, Cultural Expressions in Worship
Festivals, and Indigesound Music Schools.
- Music and Worship Education Seminars-
These seminars can be hosted by any church, ministry, or network
of churches around the world. The seminars will not only teach
basic music theory, give proper vocal training, teach basic
arranging techniques, and church sound management, but also
teach the Biblical aspect of and approach to worship and praise.
They will also convey the biblical perspective and worldview for
a Christian artist in today’s world.
- Cultural Expression in Worship
Festivals- These festivals will be held once a year at
a predetermined host site. They will be centered on
churches from around the globe collaborating to share their own
worship and praise music as well as their own individual and
unique expressions of worship in other forms of art (such as
dance, visual arts, mime, drama…) There will also be various
focus groups, training classes, and lectures targeted toward
celebrating God in the arts across the globe.
- Indigesound Music Schools-
Indigesound hopes to network with other churches and
organizations within the body of Christ to establish permanent
music schools in countries where music training is not readily
available.
Indigesound Music Institute hopes to deliver a
curriculum that will give students opportunity to grow their gifts
and talents through practical music training while also imparting a
strong, Biblical foundation for their lives as artists.
